Winter Basic Thai Massage course with Till
27th December 2019 – 6th January 2020
New Year’s is to many of us a symbol of beginning something fresh, with good intentions and wishes. In the Winter season, time slows down and our focus goes towards our center, more inwards. With our Thai Yoga massage Basic Course, it is very similar. It has the capacity to transform your life, to enrich the qualities that are serving you and to get rid of old habits, which are holding you back from exploring the beauty within.
Dive deep into the universe of static-dynamic Thai Yoga Massage. Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that touches and balances the body physically, energetically and emotionally. With the application of rhythmic pressure on certain points and energy lines in the body combined with the yogic stretching of muscles and joint manipulation, blockages can be released and the energy restored to its natural flow. Above all, Thai Massage is a sacred, loving healing dance, where two people come together to heal and be healed for the benefit of all living beings.
The class is inspired by the Dhamma (the teaching of the Buddha) and by the instruction of two Thai Massage masters Chayuth (dynamic, rhythmic, like a dance) and Pichet (static, deep, focusing the importance of feeling) both Masters from Northern Thailand. The course is also inspired by the teachings of Asokananda and the beautiful combination of YOGA, THAI MASSAGE, VIPASSANA and METTA (loving kindness). True Thai Massage cannot exist without this melting pot of healing ingredients.
Our main focus on this course is to HEAL OURSELVES on the path to helping others heal. We call on a variety of techniques (Yogic, Taoist, Sufi) to help connect to our deeper, higher selves in order to ignite the spiritual healing flame.
The course offers a PRACTICAL TRAINING on the Art of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage. We travel, day by day, from the feet to the head with daily demonstrations, theory and practice time. To learn and understand the teaching of Thai Yoga Massage in an easy way, we provide an instruction manual. Our courses usually have many assistants to help and support the learning process, who bring colors and diversity to the practice.
This course is not only about technical know-how. We will create a space to nurture body and soul, to relax, to play to feel and to be yourself… to enjoy and celebrate love and Metta – the essence of Thai Yoga Massage!
Open level! Open mind! Open heart!
The course is open for complete beginners, repeaters and advanced students, as well as bodyworkers of other therapies. Come, share & enjoy!
After the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance from the International Society of Thai Yoga Massage (Sunshine Network).
Teaching language: English
Till has been infected by the positive vibrations of Thai Yoga Massage since 2002. In this year he found his way for the first time to the “Lahu Village” in northern Thailand, where he participated in his first Beginner’s Course for 12 days with Itzhak Helman. You could say, this was something like a light-bulb-moment. For him, it was not enough what he could learn at Physiotherapy School, which he finished in 2001. To work only on the physical body– with all the emphasis on anatomy, physiology and disease in the minutest details – is for Till working on the surface. With the sacred dance of Thai Massage, he found something so much deeper. Since that beginning, his journey has taken him a few more times back to Thailand, India and Greece. Till feels blessed for the opportunities to learn with and from so many great teachers. He wants to thank in particular KrishnaTaki Oikonomou, who is much more than only a “Teacher” for Till. Of course, there is a deep Thankfulness for all the other teachers, friends and family. On the path of “healing within”, he continues to explore and work in many different fields, including Self-Knowledge, Vipassana Meditation, Nutrition, Yoga…
