THE TOUCH OF BREATH
Introduction to the Sacred Dance of Thai Yoga Massage

16th – 19th Sept 2021

Four days that will take you on a journey into the magic of touch and breath.

Have you been missing connection, touch, togetherness, joy and laughter? Then it’s about time to come together again. In this four-day workshop, we will explore the magic of touch through an introduction to the sacred dance of This Yoga Massage. A journey to touch, breathe, connect, dance and open up to the potential powers of healing from within.

We will explore consciously connected breathing pranayama and movement to move the energy and integrate it by applying touch through the principles of loving-kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. A large part of the course, supported by sessions of Breathwork, Meditation, Yoga and Tai Chi, emphasizes the importance of the spiritual connection and intuition we develop through massage.

We will breathe, feel, dance, laugh and sing together in this magical time in one of the most powerful places in the Mediterranean. It’s time to come together again. It’s time to connect again. It’s about time to feel and breathe freely.

His base is at Sunshine House, however, he often travels abroad to teach and also study. He is renowned for his unique, spontaneous and passionate way of teaching as well as his generous spirit and open heart. When he is not teaching, he is with his three beautiful children or soaking in hot spring waters.

Sascha Kaus

Sascha Kaus, originally from Germany is the founder of Sweet Retreat. Over the past 10 years, he has studied Yoga with Jivamukti Yoga, Thai Yoga Massage with Krishnataki in Sunshine House and Breathwork with Alchemy of Breath and he loves to combine aspects of all these teachings into his practice.

“The breath is the one tool that allows me to feel connected with all life and my true self in the way many spiritual teachings describe as true bliss. It is the one practice that enables me to cut through the constant chatter of the mind and come into my body. The breath helps me to bring out deep stored emotions, trauma and believes so I can look at them and see if they still serve me or if I am ready to let them go and be free of them.

I guide people on this journey and hold space for them to find their own answers to some of the many questions that they carry around and that can’t be answered through intellectual analysis. The body and our feelings speak to us in such a clear and precise voice that we only need to listen. The breath can help us to open up and understand these subtle messages.”

We will meet in a beautiful studio in the north of Ibiza dedicated to dance, yoga, free expression and exploration of our bodies and minds. Nestled in the hills of Sant Miguel with views of the surrounding fields and the Mediterranean it has become a unique space on the island.

We will have a spacious Shala to come together and practice, learn and be in the community. In your breaks, you will be able to enjoy the views or a walk through the surrounding fields and forests.

Brought to you by Gabrielle Gambina

Gabrielle has been a foodie most of her life. Working within the hospitality industry she had the opportunity to experience a range of cuisines around the world. Her interest in the healing power of food was motivated by the change she experienced in her life (both physically and mentally) when she traded in her sedentary London career for her conscious lifestyle kickstarted by her arrival in Bali. In the four years she spent in Indonesia, she dedicated her time to experimenting with raw food, Ayurvedic food, Asian ingredients, bread baking and also managed to successfully grow her own Mediterranean tomatoes and Italian basil on a beach.

Her mission is to introduce healthy wholesome food into people’s diets. She works as a private chef catering to conscious clients at retreats introducing them to local ingredients (such as xeixa flour and carob powder). She is also responsible for promoting the consumption of local fresh produce and locally made artisanal foods on behalf of a not-for-profit Ibiza Preservation Foundation and has excellent relationships with several farmers and food producers on the island.

The food will be sourced as much as possible from local producers and it will be 100% plant-based.

This is a non-residential training and we welcome everybody from Ibiza residents to far traveled friends. We will soon fill this space with recommendations for your stay on the island. Should you already be looking for a place to stay close to the workshop space look for places around the Sant Miquel / Santa Gertrudis area.

September is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Ibiza and we encourage you to take the chance and come a few days earlier or stay for a little while after the workshop.
