Basic Thai Massage with Panagiotis and Kristina

Autumn is the time of harvesting. A time of trespassing from the excitement of the summer to the contemplative qualities of the upcoming winter. In a time when nature goes inwards, quiets down and re-treats, we have the capacity to follow this process for our body and our inner self.
Through the practice of the healing art of Thai Massage, the practice of compassion and a variety of bodywork techniques we nourish, feed and touch our inner and outer self. Transition time is Dancing time. In a time of transitioning from one place to another we are gone but not yet arrived. This can cause discomfort, fear, insecurities. While learning how to be, how to dance through these phases of our life, of our practice, of our treatment and be present, we start to enjoy this process and access the joy of life.
Come to your inner home, wake up to the sense of touch and be touched, see and be seen through tears of joy and sadness, melt into a simple humane holy union.
The course provides a safe environment where we can cultivate acceptance observation and compassion. With a direction to unfold our creative and therapeutic aspect and learn to share and offer it. Develop a way of respectfully connecting, in a meditative way, through our center with another person. Gaining knowledge and developing intuition. It’s all about awakening hands and heart, exploring body and spirit.

In this Thai massage course, we will learn a full body massage based on traditional and modern healing arts, through a generous number of ways and techniques, to safely unlock all common blockages that we meet in us and others. We are using a versatile background connecting oriental and western knowledge based on the rich heritage of Thai yoga massage and Osteothai principles, Physiotherapeutic and cranio-sacral approaches.
We will introduce ways to:
- learn a full body massage
- explore the diverse techniques of static and dynamic approaches
- be precise and effective in specific areas through all the body and how to approach different cases
- with a focus on lower and upper back conditions, that are most needed in the modern world and a focus on belly and thorax that can mirror our mental and emotional state, beyond their physical function
- find how to connect different parts of the body, the center with the limbs
- learn to be in flow and make safe use of your body while working
There will be a demonstration of exercises, theory and anatomy references, with the main focus on hands-on practice. We will learn how to listen and tailor our practice for our receivers needs as well as following our potential. We are going to use moving arts, elements from creative movement and dance therapy, as well yoga, tai chi, voice and chantings and of course community building, as an additional aid to awake and explore therapeutic aspects that lie within us and to add a sense of easiness and freedom to our practice. There will be space and time for exploration of our inner state, mindful discussions and sharing. Moments of silence and deep listening.
The course is open for complete beginners, repeaters and advanced students, as well as bodyworkers of other therapies.

Born into the world of Thai Yoga Massage in 2008 in northern Thailand. From the first touch, he realized that his life was shifting to the pursuit of listening to the body. He was soon introduced into the Sunshine House approach which changed his perspective totally and a way of inspiration, knowledge, and exchange is wide open up today.
Important influences of his approach are the beloved Osteothai, the practice of meditation, performing arts and the study of Time Therapy. He has studied with various international teachers, constantly deepening his knowledge. The last years is giving treatments, classes, join forces at Thai yoga massage retreats and is a performer. He has been studied also Assisted Physiotherapy, Craniosacral, Shiatsu, and practicing yoga and chi gong, various forms of dance, corporal expression and physical theater. He is a co-founder of the Trouble Solving Techniques Thai Massage TST. He is greatly inspired by his favorite teachers Krisnataki, David Lut, Till Heeg and the many friends and teachers from the Sunshine House community. His goal is to offer a way of working with the body simple and compassionate, sharing the art of tuning in to another person, creating a therapeutic atmosphere.
The fascination for the multiple ways of expressing and communicating through the body has ruled her path of development. Starting with a formation in classical and contemporary dance she worked with theatres and companies through Europe and South America. While practicing Yoga to maintain a healthy body-mind state for herself in 2003/04 she completed her first Teacher Training in order to deepen and share this knowledge with others. Five Years of studying the a form of bodyoriented psychotherapy followed and offered a new way of working with body and its complex function.
Getting in contact with the loving touch of Thai Massage fascinated her deeply. Observing the richness that submerges out of a state of presence and compassion. As a Practice that is never completed, never finished but always evolving and changing like life itself. It is a present and great joy for her to share this and research with others and walk parts of this path together.
