Basic Thai Massage Course with Bojan & Almuth

“The Art of Touch”

5th – 15th September 2024

“No other form of communication is as universally understood as touch..”
– Randi G.Fine

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that touches and balances the body physically, energetically and emotionally. With the application of pressure on points and energy lines in the body combined with the yogic stretching of muscles and joint mobilization, blockages can be released and the energy restored to its natural flow.

This 10-day Basic course offers a PRACTICAL TRAINING in the Art of Thai Yoga Massage in supine, prone, side and seated position, techniques of self-massage, meditation and yoga. We will explore THE ART OF TOUCH, traveling from the feet to the head with daily demonstrations, theory and practice time.

Gentleness and firmness of touch and a meditative and emphatic intention create a heart-opening environment for clear, flowing communication. Touch can offer compassion, support and healing. We will embark on a journey into feeling with your hands and listening with your heart.

Communication… Contact… Touch…

This course is not only about technical know-how. We will co-create a space to nurture body and soul, to relax and to be yourself… to enjoy and celebrate loving-kindness!

This seminar is suitable for beginners and more advanced practitioners who would like to dive deeper into their practice.

After the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance from the International Society of Thai Yoga Massage (Sunshine Network).

The main focus of this course will be on developing a keen sense of touch. Using tools such as meditation, self-inquiry, Chi Gong, Yoga, dance and journaling, we will get in touch with ourselves. From within we will embark on a path of Thai massage with awareness and compassion.

As this is a residential course, we will dive deeper into communal living cultivating METTA (loving-kindness), compassion, and understanding.

What you will learn:

  • The basic principles of touch
  • Massage tools to work in all four positions (supine, prone, side, sitting)
  • Static and dynamic ways of working
