Who are we?

Asokananda
Asokananda, originally from Germany, is the founding member of the Sunshine Network, a group of connected friends from around the world who teach and practice a spiritual life by means of Thai massage, yoga, Tai Chi Chuan and meditation. He died on Friday 24th June 2005, having dedicated his life to spreading the gift of Thai massage to the rest of the world. He was the first person to write about Thai massage in English “The Art of Traditional Thai massage” in 1990s and he set up his massage school in the north of Thailand, in a Lahu hill tribe village, close to Chiang Mai. He was more than our teacher and more than our friend and with each massage we give and every student we teach, we simply try to remain thankful for his message and the light that he brought to this world. Om Mani Pame Hum.

Liz
Liz gave up her outstanding career in the thespian world, shed her many guises and decided the way to liberation for her was to just ‘be’ herself and open up to the many life experiences which empower and transform us. Her catalyst was the Sivananda Yoga teacher training course in India which she attended in 2000, giving her support and direction on her spiritual path. Having also studied Thai massage with Krishnataki for several years, she now resides in her motherland, Wales, where she offers massage treatments and teaches yoga. She is a qualified natural nutritionist (addicted to chocolate) and is currently attending a course in kinesiology. She is the writer and singer of the album “Selfocity” and is in her most divine state when singing bhajans with her beautiful, uplifting voice, reciting poetry and ecstatic dancing. Her contagious laugh can be heard over three fields and she can always be found celebrating the new moon with an enema.
