Where are we?
“I’m not afraid of anything, I have no
expectations, I am completely free”
Kazatzaki, EVIA
Sunshine House is located on the beautiful island of
Evia, one of the few places which the Greeks have kept a secret from
foreign tourist intervention. It is the second largest of all the Greek
islands and has an abundance of mountains, pine forests, beaches and hot
springs.

Sunshine House
We are situated in a small village close to the island’s capital,
Halkida, which can be easily reached by bus, train or car as there is a
bridge connecting us to the mainland. We have a spacious, old country
home with a large shady garden which boasts almond, eucalyptus, fig,
lemon and orange trees with plenty of hammocks attached to them. We are
also within biking distance from both the sea and the mountains.

Food & Accommodation
Our accommodation is simple and cozy in the way of double and triple
rooms or a tent under the orange trees to look at the stars at night.
All our food is either grown by us or bought from organic sources so
that we are able to offer both pure and tasty food as much as possible.
We have developed our own Mediterranean-Oriental recipes and offer
nutritional advice and cooking tips to all our guests. Information on
cleansing, fasting, healthy diet, organic farming and traditions of
Ayurveda and Chinese medicine are our main topics of conversation.

What to bring
The most important thing is to bring an open mind and a big smile. After
that, comfortable clothes, a notepad and pen, a mosquito net (if you
have one), swimwear and a musical instrument if you play one.

How to find us
From abroad: Fly into Athens and take the train to Larrisis train
station. Then change trains for Halkida. The journey takes around two
hours from the airport and we will collect you from the train station.
From Athens: take the national road to Lamia and exit at Halkida, cross
the bridge and turn right at the traffic lights to a village called
Lampaskos. From there ask for Agios Nikolaus and we are the second
street after the supermarket “Koutros”. Better to call for directions!
