Traditional Thai Yoga Massage – Advanced Courses

“Only in calm waters can you see your reflection, not in running waters. Only in tranquility can you find that resting place which stillness seeks”

These courses are for Thai massage practitioners who have completed at least one beginners course with an authorised teacher from the Sunshine Network. These courses usually offer more techniques for working with the knees, elbows and feet.

The schedule can vary from course to course, depending on the focus of the course and can last from 5-8 days depending. Advanced courses can be on;

Therapies: Techniques and sequences for different therapies (i.e pregnancy, lower back pain, headache)

Acupressure points and energy lines: More detailed information on each of the energy lines and their functions as well as specific acupressure points which lie along them and ways of treating the body from an energy line perspective.

Side Position: Techniques for giving the whole massage in the side position (very good during pregnancy, people with back problems)

Thai Massage meets Osteopathy: A holistic approach combining both eastern and western practices – working with fascia (connective tissue) and learning how to flow with and listen to the body using techniques but also teaching us how to play and create our own stretches.
