Acroyoga Teacher training Level II

JASON 1

We aim to give you new tools in your practice, your teaching and your ability to build community. 
In this eight day intensive training, we will focus on the 3 pillars of AcroYoga and how these pillars can be mixed to support students in new ways. 
Yoga, Acrobatics and Healing arts are all infinite practices and we have the rest of our lives to find the perfect alchemy for different students and different situations. 
We truly believe that this training will equip you with the skills and the courage to follow your passion as a teacher and bring unique offerings to your community.
 
You will be dedicated to a track during the training. About 25% of your time you will be with your group and your mentor finding new ways to create and deliver smart and individual content to the whole TT. We will dedicate the first few days to refining foundational principals & skills in the physical practice and re-defined teaching techniques. Each day we will present new challenges and have you all come up with content and ideas to meet the challenge.
 

Level II

6 teachers will teach a 3 hour class. 2 teachers from each track; yoga, acrobatics & healing.
class content: inversions and recovery
potential class plan: the yoga track warms up the class for 30min, the acro track does 1hr of inversion training, the yoga track does 30min of yoga to cool down, the healing track does thai fly to restore the wrist, shoulders and neck.
 
How is this level 2 different from ones in the past: 
• The curriculum is built upon all the learning from the last level 2, with the most up to date tools and techniques. 
• There focus is shifting to direct mentorship instead of training how to teach immersions 
• The integration of different tracks to make unified offerings 
• A two day festival to finish the party with graduates leading workshops
 
How is this level 2 like the ones in the past: 
• It's about bringing out more in teachers: bravery, honesty, truth, connection to their passions and skills
• You will leave the training with new skills and new ideas of what you want to grow in your practice
• Many teachers come out with more clarity as to what is their unique offering and how it can serve the global community
 
Pre-Requisites: AY Level I certified

 

The facilitators

JASON 2

Jason Nemer is the co-founder of AcroYoga. He has been blessed to have many great teachers on his path. His family was always very supportive of his many passions. His younger brother brought him into gymnastics and from there he found acrobats playing at the gym and was hooked on both. During his teenage years he trained with some of the top Russian and Bulgarian acrobatic masters. Competing among the best acrobats in the world inspired his practice and taught him about humility.
In 1991, after 4 years of dedicated practice at the age of 16, Jason represented the US at the World Championships of Sports Acrobatics in Beijing. In 1996, he performed acrobatics in the Opening Ceremonies at the Olympic games.
Yoga came to him in his last semester of university in 2001.  After that first class there was no looking back. Connection to the breath and the lifestyle philosophy of yoga filled him with so much joy and new ideas of how to bring his past passions into a new form.
Currently he travels to teach, study and bring communities together. He believes this practice can be used as a tool to heal and connect people in a playful dance that can promote global peace.
 
chrisChris Loebsack has been practicing yoga since 1995 and teaching since 2003. Chris uses the power of yoga to create a space for students that cultivates trust, playfulness and Divine connection with themselves and with community. Living by her mantra, Clarity, Integrity and Love, she draws upon her partner yoga practice to share the healing power of touch and safe intimacy. Her background includes a B.A. in Biology and a B.A. in Theater from East Stroudsburg University. In the following years Chris earned her 200hr certification through Sundari Yoga as well as certifications in Restorative Yoga, AcroYoga® (Level 1 & 2), Zenyasa® 300hr and Dharma Yoga® 500hr ERYT and is nationally registered with the Yoga Alliance.
 A passion for discovering subtlety in movement has lead Chris to deepen her education with the Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers® kinesiology program. Her playful yet focused classes are filled with user friendly gems of applied anatomy leaving students with a greater understanding of how to find comfort and space in their bodies and smiles beaming across their faces. She encourages teachers to set a higher standard of excellence through knowledge and has become a valuable mentor to many upcoming yoga educators. Chris has rec ently opened her second Yoga Studio in Mt. Pocono PA and will be opening an AcroYoga and Aerial Center in Chattanooga TN fall of 2017.
 
Pascal  Weis is a sports scientist and yoga teacher, combining the wisdom of the east with modern science and ideas. pascal
With over 20 year of experience in competitive sports, it was Yoga & healing arts that brought him back to a healthy and balanced relationship to movement. Ever since that moment, Pascal is guiding people into movement explorations and the awareness of the yoga practice. By joining trainings in different styles of yoga, ThaiYogaMassage and AcroYoga over the past 10 years, classes and workshops are always tailor made to fit the needs and curiosity of the students. 
Both when working with athletes and with students from different backgrounds, the goal is the same: finding ease and creating a sustainable individual practice that serves your body & mind for the rest of your life. 
As a traveling teacher Pascal shares his knowledge and ideas in workshops and retreats all over the world.
