Yoga Detox Immersion with P. Broome and Krishnataki
25th April - 1st May 2017
This 7 day immersion will lead us through an intense cleansing and purification process. Combining the morning yoga asana flow with an afternoon Taoist practice, we will enjoy both physical, emotional and spiritual release and openings. As well as asana, prananyama, meditation and bhakti we will also follow a holistic yogic-life approach with the food - being vegan and with plenty of juices. Choosing the path of yoga is not about bending your body into different positions, it is about a life choice for optimum health and positivity.
Each day will offer 7 hours of practice :
Morning: 3 hours yoga asana flow & meditation
Afternoon: 1.5 hours pranayama and taoist exercises for longevity
1.5 hours nutrition & cooking class alternating with Thai massage workshop
Evening: Chantings & satsang & meditation
Born in Germany, raised in California, Patrick found his spiritual home on Second Avenue at the Jivamuki Yoga Center in the New York East Village in 1996. He moved to NYC to take the Teacher Training and to spend more time with his teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life. About fifteen years ago he brought the Jivamukti Yoga Method to Europe and since then Patrick has been the root of a huge and constantly growing Satsang all over Europe. In 2014 he left Jivamukti and now he is using his knowledge to promote what really matters in the life of a Yogi: Devotion to God and the importance of Ethical Responsibility.
Krishnataki, originally from Greece, has been teaching Thai Yoga massage and yoga since 1998 having lived and studied in Thailand and India. His first gateway to the East was through the inspirational teachings of Tai Chi master Tew Bunnag which led him down the path in search of his true spiritual essence. He is now a senior massage teacher of the Sunshine Network, and has trained with Thai massage masters Pichet Boonthume, Chayuth Priyasith and Asokananda and has a Sivananda Yoga background. He is passionate about organic farming, Chinese medicine, cooking and nutrition and incorporates aspects of yoga, meditation and Qi Gong into all his courses. His base is at Sunshine House, where he leads a variety of retreats aimed at igniting the spiritual, healing flame that lies dormant in each and every one of us, however he still spends time travelling abroad to teach and also study, where possible. He is renown for his unique, fun-loving and passionate way of teaching as well as his generous spirit, hot hands and delicious home-made recipes.
